I leave for work early, driving for up to an hour to arrive. After 9.5 hours I get back in my car for a dark drive back on the beltway. I get home in time to start all over again more or less.
I should not be typing. I should be running around getting ready. Tripping over the dog and assessing just how dirty my hair is. So that I can sit at my desk and argue with the lobbyist's fiance about how the world really "should" be, and moan over how chaotic the dataset is. Then watch the sun go down from my desk hours before it is time to leave.
All I'm saying is, I should not be typing.

Welcome to my world! Some days the only sunshine I see is out my office window - and I'm grateful that I do have a window. But most of the day, I have to pull the shade down so I can see my computer monitor without the sun shining in my eyes. (No wonder I'm deficient in Vitamin D!)
And no wonder you've been bummed! Man S.A.D. is no joke. And I am also so happy to have a big ol window in my office (cubicle pod)- lucky indeed.
BUT, still, I am happy in this economic climate to have a job period. I HAVE to say that!
I'm glad you were typing.
Bad Influence! God I miss it. It just feels so good to type like THIS. Here. So. Not. Work. So much better! This is where I get to be just. as. I. am. And thank god for it!
